Senior Top Model Addison | Belleville West High School

I am currently a Belleville West Senior and will be graduating Spring of 2020. I plan to attend SWIC my first two years, and then plan to go onto either ISU or SEMO to get a Masters in Dietetics.

When I was 5, I found out I had Celiac Disease. This means I cannot eat gluten. It has not always been easy, especially when I was younger. On the positive side though, having this experience has motivated me to want to help others who also have to deal with dietary restrictions.

Dance has always been a big part of my life. During the 10 years I took dance, tap was always my favorite. About a month ago, I was given the opportunity to start teaching a beginner adult tap class. I feel blessed to be able to share my passion for tap with others!

And around a year ago, I found a new passion—swing dancing/ballroom dancing! I am still learning, but it is so much fun and I’m even considering competing someday.

In addition to dancing, I also love to sing! During my time at West, I have been a part of many choirs. This year I am excited to be a part of Maroon Majic! It is an a cappella choir that also incorporates some dancing.

In my free time, I also love to listen to music and spend time with my family and friends.

When I first met Dawn at DCCP, she was taking my dance pictures, and I was a little nervous because I had never really had dance pictures taken in an outdoor setting. But Dawn was able to help me relax and told me I did a great job. My senior photo shoot with her was so enjoyable! We went to downtown St. Louis for some of the shots, then to Forest Park, and last to the City Diner. It was a day full of so much fun!

Dawn is so enthusiastic and she will do anything to get the perfect shot. One time she had to lay on the sidewalk to get a shot of me standing on a chair. She is so passionate about what she does for a living. I recommend her to anyone who wants to get the perfect senior photos!! When I saw my images at the ordering session, I loved each and every one of them. I was smiling the whole time. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take my photos! Thanks Dawn! You are the best!!!!

Addison had an amazing experience with DCCP! To start off, she got pampered by the incredible hair and make-up team. Then, we headed off to our first location—downtown St. Louis! DCCP was able to capture some amazing shots just within a couple city blocks. Joe and Dawn made Addison feel very comfortable and made it such a fun experience. Dawn really has a knack for thinking outside of the box and creating extraordinary photos. Our next stop was Forest Park—what beautiful scenery….pretty flowers, trees, a stream, nice backdrops for a “country-like” setting. And our last stop, the City Diner to capture a charming vintage look.

At the reveal, Dawn and Joe showed us the amazing video they created with all of Addison’s pictures. I will admit, I was a little emotional and shed some tears (of joy) seeing my beautiful daughter up on that screen and realizing just how grown up she has become. Seems like that happened in the blink of an eye. Thanks again Dawn and Joe for such an enjoyable experience and for capturing amazing photos that we will always treasure!
