Senior Kelly Keirstead | O’Fallon High School

My name is Kelly Keirstead. I am an 18 year old senior at O’Fallon Township High School. I am a military brat and have lived in six states but ultimately would describe myself as a midwestern girl with southern flair. Currently I live on a farm with my parents, four dogs, and 28 chickens. I have been a swimmer for OTHS since I was a freshman and have been swimming competitively for over 10 years. In the future, I plan to attend Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky and major in Elementary education.

I felt like I instantly connected with Dawn and immediately knew that things would go well.

When I first met with DCCP for my senior consultation, I had no idea what to expect. I was very nervous but also super excited. I felt like I instantly connected with Dawn and immediately knew that things would go well. We talked about how my outfits needed to be super extreme and slightly over the top. This freaked me out a little because I would say that my comfort zone of fashion has always been simple and straightforward. . At the consult we focused on the direction of my shoot and I left feeling super excited! Our timeline was pretty tight (2-3 weeks) so I was a bit stressed about getting everything together in time but Dawn totally helped us pull it all together.

I don’t know whether it was the hair and makeup or if it was how comfortable and pretty Dawn made me feel, but I totally felt at ease in front of Dawn’s camera.

Senior shoot day was finally approaching and I was equally nervous and excited. Typically, I’m super uncomfortable in front of a camera. I don’t know whether it was the hair and makeup or if it was how comfortable and pretty Dawn made me feel, but I totally felt at ease in front of Dawn’s camera. I had such a great time with the entire process – I would have to say shooting in the bowling alley with people everywhere was probably my favorite site. I also liked the whole 70’s vibe of my shoot. My absolute favorite image was captured in the middle of a downtown street in St Louis – the energy was great! Thanks Dawn!!

We knew there would be no choice other than DCCP when it came to selecting a photographer for Kelly’s Senior Portraits. Dawn captured amazing shots of our oldest daughter, Katie, who graduated seven years ago. Her ability to convey her subject’s personality and keen eye are only matched by her wit and commitment to making people feel comfortable in front of the camera as she creates an amazing story. -Leanne (Kelly’s Mom)

Working with Dawn, Joe and the DCCP Team was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. The consult process is laid back. Dawn and Joe sit and talk with you about wardrobe and site selection, hair, makeup and everything that goes into the process of creating your story. Kelly was nervous at first, but quickly connected with Dawn’s energy and eagerly looked forward to her special day. For me, as a mom, it was easy to trust that we were going to end up with something spectacular. I’ve followed Dawn’s work for years and I know that her commitment to perfection is unmatched. -Leanne (Kelly’s Mom)

The transformation was amazing – Kelly was thrilled and walked with a confidence I’ve never seen.

For day of the senior shoot we arrived early and while Kelly was in the hands of Megan, the stylist, I simply packed the wardrobe selections staged with accessories and waited for the magic to happen. The transformation was amazing – Kelly was thrilled and walked with a confidence I’ve never seen. Dawn worked tirelessly and I knew Kelly was going to shine. Their resulting images are spectacular – simply BREATHTAKING! We can’t thank you enough. -Leanne (Kelly’s Mom)
