Q. Tell us all about your maternity story. Who you are, career, age if you would like to share, plans for your future.

A. My name is Camryn Collins-Vaughn. I am a college student, worker and very soon-to-be mommy. After the baby’s arrival this August, I will be finishing up my last semester at Southwestern Illinois College during Spring 2022. I am then transferring to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where I will be pursuing school psychology and child development. Being a Mommy is going to help me out so much with this dream! I am so blessed and excited to welcome my first bundle of joy into this world.

Q. Tell us all about your experience with DCCP?

A. I have been modeling for DCCP since I was a Junior in high school. In general, this experience has been amazing for me. It has helped me step out of my element and discover parts of myself that I love. When I think of Dawn Corwin Creative Photography, I think about artistic, dramatic, and intriguing experiences for both Dawn, Joe, and the models. Particularly for this shoot, I wanted dramatic, sweet, and romantic. Let me tell you…they did just that!

I loved how much fun we had with shooting the milk bath. Between trying to keep my hair from being drenched, Josh getting nude, and Dawn standing high on a ladder to create the perfect shot, we are in awe with the results. I came to Dawn with a unique idea, and it took a lot of quick planning. Fortunately, she was able to shoot exactly what I imagined if not more! This shoot went beyond my expectations and turned out incredible.

Q. Advice for other people who are considering doing a maternity shoot like yours:

A. If you feel like you have an idea that’s unrealistic, out of your element, or completely unique, then bring it to Dawn Corwin Creative Photography. Creative is in their name for a reason as they can capture what you want, if not more.
