Meet Lyric, Dccp Senior Top Model from Breese Central High School. We are so excited to have her on our Senior Top Model Team this year, and she is a one of a kind type of girl. She is unique, loves Disney, working out, and being one tough cookie! Her favorite film? “Personally, I think everyone should see the Babadook. It isn’t commonly known, but it is very thought provoking and a fun, yet interesting movie to watch. It is a mixture of a psychological and horror film that always keeps me on the edge of my seat.”
“Someone told me, on the summer before freshman year began, that I shouldn’t worry about what other people think. They said that the only people that matter were those who laved and cared about you. That was the moment were I decided to have fun and just own it. Since then, I have shaved my head twice, dyed my hair black, blue and purple, gotten my SCUBA divers certification, and finally became popular. I gained a ton of friends when I stopped trying to please everyone and was just myself, which came as a huge shock to me. But life is way more fun when you don’t let other people’s negativity bring you down.”
“In five years, I hope to have gotten my bachelor’s degree with a major in pre-medicine. That will hopefully be my first step into getting my Medical Doctoral degree, and becoming a pediatric oncologist (a cancer doctor for children) by that time, I also plan to have graduated from Eastern Illinois University and be at a nice school that has a good medical program. I also hope to have a part time job either as a personal trainer, a CNA or both to help pay for medical school, since it isn’t exactly cheap these days.”
“I loved the fun and creativity that went into my Beauty and the Beast Senior pictures. Shooting in front of the elegant gate and seeing the church in St. Louis was really cool (and the expressions of people passing by as I was draped across the steps were pretty funny). The pictures turned out amazing, and I loved the very vibrant colors. It was also a great excuse to wear a princess dress and a tiara around the city, which was a lot of fun.”
“Working with DCCP was the experience of a lifetime. Both photo shoots included glamorous clothes, stunning locations, fabulous hair and makeup and tons of friendly faces. I met several new friends and got to know some of the people I had already known a little bit better. Everyone got along great and the pictures were stunning.”
“When I got to see the pictures, they took my breath away. You can tell how much time, work, effort and dedication went into making the photographs memorable. Taking the photos made me feel like a queen. We had a fun makeup artist to did an amazing job and who went with us for touch ups. Dawn had amazing ideas for poses and locations that made for a very dramatic finish, and those helping behind the camera worked hard all day yet still kept up a cheerful attitude!”
